Optometrist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Optometrist treat eye vision by diagnosing   giving the patient the right eyeglasses, contacts, lenses and etc. They are not physicians and may not write medical prescriptions. They also do not do surgeries or treat diseases. There are more likely to be working in hospitals, government, agencies, and optical manufacturers.

Average Salary: $78,000

Educational Requirements:

Student that who are interested in this job will have to be taking the following high school courses (AP or IB) math, English, and science. Students will also have to be taking two years in Optometry in a program that will be required. Then if you choose to want a degree in optometry school you will have to be there foe about for years to get awarded with a degree. Then doctors will have to pass a state exam.
